GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES FIRST ANCHOR TENNANT!
Phoenix, Arizona – Global Entertainment announced Tuesday
April 22nd at the Greater Wenatchee Public Facilities District
meeting that the newly formed “Wenatchee Fire Professional
Soccer Team” will play their inaugural season in the Greater
Wenatchee Regional Events Center, currently under construction
and scheduled to open in September.
Mike Osborn who is the general manager of the Wenatchee Fire Professional
Soccer Team announced that the newly formed LLC is independent
of the Wenatchee Valley Sportsplex which has currently been the
home of the semi-pro Wenatchee Fire team.
Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) will consist of six teams
which reside in Dallas, Texas – Houston, Texas – Boulder,
Colorado - Fort Collins. Colorado – Stockton, California
and Wenatchee, Washington. Osborn believes, “The addition
of this professional franchise is the capstone of a grass roots
movement and development of the game of soccer in North Central
Washington. Not only will the Wenatchee Fire provide affordable,
fast-paced, quality entertainment for kids and families, it also
provides a link between youth development and the professional
ranks. This link creates opportunities for local talent to have
a shot at displaying their skills and passion for the game on
a national stage.”
PASL League Commissioner Kevin Milliken said this morning in a
statement, “The PASL is very excited to have the Wenatchee
Fire moving up into our new Pro League. They have been a standout
organization in our Premier Development League, winning two division
titles in three years. The PASL has a rich ten year history in
the Northwest, and Wenatchee should be able to have a very competitive,
and exciting team to watch. The arena in Wenatchee will create
the optimum atmosphere for our sport. The size, luxury and
seating is exactly the venue our league wants our team in.”
